Fees for children over three years in school term times
Fees for over threes in term times only are subject to the nursery education grant which is funded by central government. This works out to an approximate equivalent of £50 per week for a child attending 15 hours or more per week. The Grant is dependent on the number of hours claimed in the setting. An example for Spring Term 2010 is below. More information on this can be given by the Nursery Manager.
| Number of hours claimed at setting |
Funding per term |
| 15 hours claimed |
£656.13 |
| 13 hours claimed |

| 12.5 hours claimed |

Under three’s fees apply during school holidays.
Independent Place Nursery is eligible for the Nursery Grant for children aged three and four. The grant assists with childcare fees under the following conditions:
- The child is eligible in the school term after turning three.
- Independent Place is the main provider of nursery education.
Fees and Registration
Fees are payable in advance on the 24th of each month for the following month by standing order. Fees are calculated monthly and are payable for fifty two weeks a year. Fees are payable in full each month regardless of absence for whatever reason, including holidays, illness, bank holidays and closure for Christmas and New Year. There is an annual fee increase.
Older siblings will receive a 10% discount on full time places and a 5% discount on a part time place. Full fees are payable during the settling period. Registration fee is £50, which is payable upon submission of a completed enrolment form. This fee is non-refundable. If your child attends nursery they will receive a complimentary Nursery bag and t-shirt on their first day.
To ensure fairness we have introduced a structured and time managed policy for the payment and collection of fees a copy of which is in the Parent Partnership Policy – Policy 12. In cases of overdue fees the Nursery shall be entitled to charge interest and compensation at the rates prevailing from time to time under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act on any sum, as well as before or after any Judgment, not paid by the parent by the due date. The Nursery shall be entitled to charge the parent all and any reasonable costs incurred by the Nursery, whether administrative, collection or legal, in recovering, or attempting to recover, any payment due, by 24th of the month. In respect of collection costs it is agreed by us that the 10% of sum outstanding shall constitute a reasonable cost. It is also agreed that this shall be the agreed liquidated damages in respect of collection costs.
